Today, Kejriwal was produced before the court again where the Metropolitan Magistrate, Gomti Manocha, asked him to furnish the bail bond again. Kejriwal got up and said that he did not understand what his crime was.
It seems after his bitter loss in Lok Sabah elections and evasion of his popular base, he has lost some of piece…err…peace of his mind. And that is why he is trying so hard to make a point. But no one is listening, really.
Going by the standard air time he used to hog because of his theatrics, irrespective of their size, he is getting a little time on camera this time. So much for his expectations, tch tch.
Two days ago, he tried to take attention of the media and people by refusing to furnish bail bond in court defying the court procedure. It was regarding Nitin Gadkari defamation case where he was asked to furnish a personal bond.
As a punishment for contempt of court he was sent to judicial custody for two days. Athough his army of fools tried quite hard to politicize the matter and his counsel Prashant Bhushan pleaded that it was against their ‘principles’. But someone needs to remind him that when it comes down to law and principles, law wins hands down.
Also, spreading rumours and lies about their ‘reverent’ Kejriwal doesn’t suit AAP members. Affter all, they have just received an aftershock for misleading the public. But they are not able to understand it at all. Wonder what Bhushan is doing? He should actually give a sane advice to the leader and save him from himself. But he seems to be on the same trip as his brethren.

“Main ye samajhna chahta hoon ki mera kasoor kya hai. (I want to know what my crime is). Why didn’t the court accept my undertaking?” Kejriwal asked to the court. At this, the judge said, “I understand the legal illiteracy in this country. Even educated people do not know about legal proceedings as to what is bail and what is bond. Being in the position you (Kejriwal) were, I expect you to be sensible.”
In an hour long hearing, the magistrate explained the legal provisions to Kejriwal which called for him furnishing a bail bond. But it seems Kejriwal does not understand the matter at all. For him, everything starts with the fact that he is fighting against corruption and ends there only. No one should raise a finger on him even if he does not provide any evidence against his claims.
So, instead of respecting the judiciary, Kejriwal went on politicizing the matter. He repeated in court that Gadkari was corrupt and that he was being punished because he raised his voice against him. “I would request all of you not to politicise the hearing. Mr Kejriwal if you think he has done something wrong, why didn’t you file a complaint case in the court,” the judge said on his statement.
While being taken back to Tihar in judicial custody again, this time for 14 days, Kejriwal got an opportunity to speak to the media, “I just want to say that Nitin Gadkari did corruption and he is roaming free. While I raised my voice against his corruption and am behind bars.”
His (blind) followers too are rhyming the same line. But they fail to see the end result of this drama which will be more catastrophic than that of Lok Sabha elections. Delhi assembly elections are just round the corner…
