The one thing about Khan is that he always carries his wit and sense of humour with him whenever he is out there at a public event. So this is what happened at the award function. Sonu Nigam and Subhash Ghai got together on stage and recalled the time when they worked together for Pardes. Just when the duo was starting to get all emotional, SRK joined them. Shahrukh shared an interesting anecdote with the viewers. It seems when he was rehearsing for the song ‘Dil ye dil’ in the movie, Subhash Ghai showed him a couple of dance steps to go with the song. Now Khan was embarrassed to those steps because they were highly mechanical – as if a robot is dancing with absolutely no grace whatsoever. So SRK added his own edge to it by doing his usual stretching his arms in the air thing, which he is an adept at. SRK also thanked Sonu Nigam for lending his voice to the song, which turned out to be the biggest chartbusters of that year.
Well, it was fun to watch SRK bonding with these singers. And thank God he didn’t do those robot-like steps in Pardes, you can imagine the fate of the film if he had done so…
