In this Bhatt production, we will get to see Emraan Hashmi in an out-and-out different avatar.
What’s interesting is that he is looking ghastly in that look, and I believe very few heroes have the guts to shed their macho and oh-so-attractive image for something so hideous. I am totally impressed with Hashmi – the guy calls a spade and spade (you will know what I am talking about if you have seen his Koffee with Karan episode), and he does whatever he desires to do on screen.
Who thought the tacky serial kisser of Bollywood would surprise us with some hatke roles. Shanghai, Dirty Picture – he has been on a roll for quite some time now.
Mr X is about a cop (played by Hashmi) and it seems he goes all gayab in the film, just like Mr India. Seeing those rats in the first look poster, it looks like Hashmi is stuck in some godforsaken lab and he must have been the victim of a deadly chemical reaction to go all invisible on us. Well, speculations aside, Emraan’s look is enough to intrigue me to discover more about the film.
Directed by Vikram Bhatt, Mr X is also going to have some fancy special effects, and the makers are planning to rope in the artists of Wolverine to lend that special international touch to this desi movie.
Well, until now Indian movies have just disappointed us in terms of special effects.
I hope Mr X makers refrain from making the movie look all ‘amateurish’ ‘coz that will definitely kill all the love I have developed for Immu’s wicked look.
