Deep condition:
Chemicals wreck havoc with your hair in more ways than you can imagine. So it’s better to deep condition them by mixing eggs, banana and yoghurt in equal quantities and applying them on your hair for an hour. Rinse with a mild shampoo for an instantly smooth, silky and nourished hair.
Colour protection shampoo:
Always opt for shampoos that have ‘colour protection’ so that it doesn’t wash off your colour and helps set in the colours better. It will also nourish your roots and help in hair fall. You should also use a colour protection conditioner after the wash.
Leave-on conditioner:
Coloured or treated hair loses moisture faster than normal hair, so it’s advisable to use a leave-on conditioner on them. Go for the mild varieties so that the constant use of it doesn’t spoil your hair.
Avoid chlorine:
Always wear a swimming cap while in the pool as chlorine can not only alter your hair colour, but also make them brittle and dry. But it’s better to avoid the pool and water sports for the fifteen days of colouring your hair.
Cool dry:
Don’t dry out your hair further by blow drying it. Use the cool dry option instead. Or go for the best option, air drying. This way, your hair will not lose its essential oil and moisture.
