Well, it’s good news that these ‘larger than life’ heroes are willing to look all sinister and wicked on screen. Vivek Oberoi did it this year as Kaal in Krrish 3, and won rave reviews for his role.
But why’s SRK, who has been so image conscious over the years that he has never really bothered to experiment much, despite having the privilege and the power to do so, want to get back to his Darr and Baazigar days? He was lovely in a villainous avatar in these movies. But somewhere he realised this is doing no good to his career, so he stretched his arms romantically in the air and has been doing so for almost a decade…
I think the actor has realised that it’s time he does something challenging rather than churning out hogwash like Chennai Express and RA.One. When new kids like Ranbir, Ranveer and many more are all out there, risking their careers by taking up unusual stuff, why can’t an established name like me do something hatke? That’s what you are thinking Shahrukh, aren’t you?
