I would advise Sonia Gandhi to put her decision of taking political sanyas on hold and jump into the field as a face-saver for Congress.
In a do again of the Delhi incident, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi aroused boredom among his addressees in Jodhpur while addressing an election rally on Monday. Rahul was compelled to conclude his speech at the city’s Umaid Stadium, as people started dispersing from the venue just 13 minutes after he took over the mike.
The congregation that mainly comprised youth constantly howled him even as the Congress scion had hardly begun the speech. After about 10 minutes, the people lost tolerance and started going. Dissimilar to his Delhi counterpart, the Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot, although, made no request to the people to stay seated and left it for Rahul Baba to end his address.
Rahul had reached hour-and-a-half behind the schedule for the election rally on the chief minister’s territory. Some audiences were from distant areas of the district plus from neighbouring Pali and Barmer regions, which together have 23 assembly seats. These people reached the place early morning. However, Rahul was supposed to arrive at 2 pm, but he emerged the dais only around 3:30 pm.
Disheartening the audience, the Congress vice-president started his speech reiterating the comments and claims against BJP that he made at Chittorgarh, Churu, Alwar and Salumber. Rahul said Congress was the sole party that was moving ahead holding all the castes and communities, that BJP was dividing the people while his party was working to break the wall that was holding the poor in the vicious cycle of poverty.
Rahul baba how many times will you get yourself insulted at different places but for the same reason? Your party has failed people’s expectations and now you have failed to impress the audience.
I would advise Sonia Gandhi to put her decision of taking political sanyas on hold and jump into the field as a face-saver for Congress.
