He said in a recent interview that acting for him is like exercising
The actor has busied himself with the promotions of his new film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. Traveling around extensively and giving spicy quotes to the media, the Khan kid is making sure he stays in the spotlight until his film hits the theatre screens. While I have always found Khan to be an interesting personality, doing his bit for the society, being a good example for the youth and all that jazz; he really makes me doubt his thespian skills.
So when he said in a recent interview that acting for him is like exercising and the more often you do it, the more comfortable you feel, a part of that statement made me wonder if the guy is ever going to improve acting-wise. It’s been a good five years now since he entered the industry, shooting that chocolate-boy gaze in Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na to being a carefree lad in GTPM. But Immu is yet to do something that changes your ‘oh, he’s only meant for those cool and hip urban roles’ perception about him.
So while Khan says ‘karte karte ho jata hai’ – about improving his acting expertise, I suggest he take a good look at his contemporaries like Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who are busy delivering phenomenal performances one after the other.
All we can say is, for some it comes naturally, while others have to try, try till they succeed or retire, perhaps!
