Better finishing would have seen Barca win by a greater margin but with Martino’s side dominating possession from start to finish, any further debate whether they have changed their style of play seems rather pointless.
Argentine Messi, who scored his seventh goal of the season, was rather disappointed with reports suggesting that the 26-year old was ‘unhappy’ after being substituted by manager Martino. Messi reacted angrily to these rumours stating,”I didn’t mean to make any gesture when I came off. I will not accept that certain media tell lies.”
With many more games in the pipeline for the La Liga champions, Leo needs to put aside his anger and focus on putting the ball behind the net.
